The first section of the connecting walkway between the site of Expo Milano 2015 and the Milan Fairground in Rho (location of PLAST 2015, May 5-9) was completed at the end of August.

The pedestrian bridge, measuring 60 meters and weighing about 250 tons, stretches over three railway lines at the station of Rho-Fiera: the Milan-Varese, the Milan-Novara and the high-speed Turin-Milan line.

With a total of about 500 meters of pedestrian Expo-Fair walkway will provide access at the West of the exhibition site: over 30% of visitors will arrive by train from the Rho-Fiera railway station.

During the inauguration ceremony of the ExpoExpress train, the EXPO 2015 Commissioner (Mr Giuseppe Sala) stated that 5 million tickets have already been sold, which may prefigure an average flow of 30,000 visitors/day approx.

Considering that we still have 8 months before EXPO opens its doors, this is a very good omen not only for EXPO itself but also for all the other exhibitions that will take place in the Milan Fairground, PLAST 2015 included.
